Community General is already under increased security, with a high-profile criminal hospitalized, when an important businesswoman is brought in. Mark investigates when a teenage girl is murdered after threatening to reveal her affair with her older lover, a newly appointed state Supreme Court Justice. Dr. Sloan investigates when an unpopular colleague drops dead while performing an operation. Mark investigates his fellow doctors when tests reveal the deceased was poisoned. Jesse is arrested and charged with murder after a doctor testifying against Jesse in a malpractice suit is poisoned. Amanda does the bulk of the investigating when its discovered that a casualty in the accident was actually murdered.
Lynn Conklin (Diagnosis Murder)
Her decomposing body was found 12 days later in the Los Angeles foothills. Samsoe’s friends told police that a stranger had approached them on the beach, asking to take their pictures. Detectives circulated a sketch of the photographer, and Alcala’s parole officer recognized him.

Though not entirely shown, Lynn did the same to another police officer, Frank Barons, later on, and killed another policeman after that–staging all of the deaths as suicides. Once Steve finds photos of the slain officers in her possession, he starts to realize that Lynn is a serial killer. All of the passengers survive the accident, LavaLife but one of them, an insurance adjuster and a rapist, is murdered in the aftermath, which is discovered by Mark when he is brought in to the hospital. As Mark tries to make sense of what happened, the soldier is murdered as well, and now Mark is down to three suspects, none of whom seem to have been able to commit either murder.
To get what she felt was hers, Tonya resorted to committing murders, killing her aforementioned victims in the same manner as Ralph’s suicide, planning to have his death ruled as a homicide so she could collect. Dr. Sloan’s birthday is less than festive when he discovers the body of a prominent divorce lawyer in the Hospital pharmacy.
An abusive man who, along with four other people, was a contestant on a reality show is murdered while living in a house that is monitored 24 hours a day. After the killing, Mark enters the house as the man’s replacement to see if he can uncover what happened. A nurse’s husband is murdered and a teen who works at the hospital and who also had a torrid love affair with the nurse is the prime suspect, but Mark isn’t convinced that the young man is the killer. An old friend of med student Alex Martin is mixed up in the murder investigation of an L.A.

Dr. Sloan tries to discover what happened when the author is found dead and Amanda is the main suspect. Financier Robin westlin dies in Dr. Sloan’s house, but when the paramedics at the scene, the body’s gone. A group of crooked cops frame Steve for murder after he gets too close to their robbery operation.
Jack needs to write a biography, and Amanda and Dolores write it for him. Amanda delivers it to Perfect Couples on her way home, so Jack doesn’t see it. The bio is so effective that 62 women try to date Jack on the first day.
Sloan probes the death of a rock star whose wife believes her spouse was murdered by an alien. When the woman is found dead by drowning, the sleeping lifeguard is accused. His aunt, IRS Agent Gretchen McCord, helps Mark with the investigation. A television show is being filmed at the hospital and Mark keeps interrupting the filming due to their inaccuracies.

Unbeknownst to them, their beautiful young patient is a professional killer. To investigate a possible murder, Dr. Sloan goes into a house of roommates who are monitored 24 hours a day by cameras for a national television show. Dr. Mark Slone often undertakes actions which would result in evidence and investigations being compromised. Since he has never been a police officer, these actions could result in cases being dropped or overturned upon appeal.
